Bean and Corn Salsa Sensation

Low-fat, guilt-free snacking!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 14oz can black beans
  • 1 14oz can pinto beans
  • 1 pound bag of thawed frozen corn
  • 5 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • Juice from 2-3 limes
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • salt to taste
  • 2 large whole wheat pitas

Instructions
 

  • Combine all salsa ingredients (everything except pita bread). Let sit for an hour while stirring occasionally to enhance flavours.
  • Meanwhile, cut pitas into bite-sized pieces and bake at 350 until crispy, approximately 20-30minutes.
  • Enjoy this delicious, healthy snack!
